In 1999, when the tourist peak of the country was still far from being reached; an ambitious project, which was back then just the dream of a bunch of friends, started to come true: The web site www.patagonia-argentina.com was launched. The website had a lot of self-produced information about the region and intended to show Patagonia to the world. A site on "Planet Earth, the way it used to be" was made by Patagonians for the rest of the globe. It quickly accomplished a good position on the Internet, as proved by the fact of having been deemed a reference about Patagonia by the Britannica Encyclopedia, and by having been chosen Best Website for the topic by Microsoft Encarta.
Some time later, we got down to tailoring packages with destinations within Patagonia and putting them online for sale. This is how our travel agency, "La Tierra como solia ser" (Planet Earth, the way it used to be) E. V. y T originated. Registered at the Secretaría de Turismo de la Nación with license number 11986, we comply with all the regulations imposed to Travel Agents so as to ensure a pleasant and professional experience for our customers worldwide. |
