We have been home over a week now, but Argentina remains very vividly in our minds. We loved it all, but the 2 highlights had to be Iguazu and the glaciers.

The arrangements you made for us were outstanding. We got a bit of a shock when we realised that instead of the El Calafate balconies tour we were to do Winter Experience which meant playing in the snow! We set off with 3 other people, all young, but they were so nice to us, and looked after us when we did the tubing down the snow slopes, we actually had a very good time. Add to that the fact that 3 grey foxes came right up to the camp to look at us, it was memorable indeed.

The trips to Perito Merino and the All glaciers were FANTASTIC. The first day was overcast, so the blues in the ice were very intense. The second day for the All Glaciers was sunny with beautiful blue skies and the glaciers and mountain scenery were amazing. We don't need to go to Niagara or Alaska now, we've seen much better in Argentina! And we would certainly come again at some point to see some more.

The transfers were all prompt and we were well taken care of, the accommodation very comforable and friendly, and the care you took to provide english speaking guides for us made the excursions so pleasurable. Barry speaks some Spanish and got to practise, but he doesn't know enough to fully appreciate what we were seeing on the trips so the english translations were very useful.

We had to leave the glacier museum till next time for various reasons, but we had a wonderful experience on the last morning. We are keen birdwatchers and got up early to go out to the reserve by the lake to see the flamingos. There were about 20 there and we watched them through our binorculars for about 15 minutes, and then the whole flock took off in unison, and there was a magical display of pink and orange birds with black edged wings in full flight, and it was a truly stunning send-off for us.

So thank you for arranging that part of our visit for us. You did a very good job and we appreciate it very much. I will certainly be in touch when we want to come that way again.
